How to Spark and Rediscover Your Creativity
Do these five key things to spark your creativity today.

Creativity fires me up and fills me with passion. Anxiety drains the life right out of me. How much more wonderful to use our imaginations for beautiful thoughts. Creativity is such a gift. We all have our own unique creative imaginations and ideas. Everyone is creative. For some of us creativity is expressed through art, music, writing, crafting, how we decorate our homes or style our outfits. Creativity is not cookie cutter. For others creativity is in taking a photograph, planting a garden, cooking or baking or arranging a bouquet of flowers. Some express it boldly, others in subtly and others somewhere in the middle of those two. I do believe in each of us is a spark of creativity waiting to be expressed.

Do these five key things to spark your creativity
We all find ourselves facing creative burnout. To get that creative drive back I play! I pull out a bunch of trinkets and things that inspire me and take pictures. I gather up succulent clippings and throw an arrangement together. I set my table for the pure fun of it. I go on a nature walk and collect flowers and pine cones. The point is creativity also comes when your in the midst of it. Instead of waiting for it to strike sometimes you have to dive in and let it find you.
1. Take Time to Play
Creative expression is doing something because it brings you joy. Do it without expectations. Do it without having something to show for it or for results. Do it without having to capture the moment or for the sake of productivity or accomplishment.
I play by going to the ocean, dipping my feet in the sand and collecting shells and sea glass. I play by propagating succulents, picking flowers and making floral arrangements. I play by going on a nature walk and taking pictures of tree lined avenues, fences bursting with blossoms, and little lambs frolicking in their pens.
